Like the new look?

So, what do you think? I wanted to start off the new year with a new look and a new dedication to posting more frequently - although I don't promise to post as often as I have recently, there are simply a lot of new and exciting things to give as updates! I developed my new header using the "My Digital Studio" from Stampin UP! This product is a publishing design software which allows you to use Stampin UP! images from stamp sets, embellishments such as ribbons and buttons, and paper designs to create your own scrapbook pages on your computer. Let's face it - everyone has digital photos these days, so this provides another option to archive those memories. Once created, you have many options for presentation. You can use the printing service and print your own hard cover books - and they are extremely high quality! Or you can save them to a disk, create a DVD, slide show....et al. There are multi media options as well. You can also create custom calendars and yes, even cards.

I think I'll always remain a purist where my card making is concerned - preferring the tactile satisfaction of paper, scissors, glue, glitter everywhere etc...but I have to say I have become a convert for the digital scrapbook. From my early days of motherhood I have at least 10 books - that's really not many for diehards- and that is mostly just of my son. But they are about 3 inches thick each and require several shelves to store. Now I ask you, who is realistically going to want these? I think my kids will be more interested in creating their own memories of their own children than they will of seeing pictures of themselves, so no matter what you tell yourself when you create these wonderful books - they are for you! So for me, having a DVD that I can play as a slide show on my computer or my big screen tv. is much more appealing - after all, then people HAVE to look at them! And after all that hard work, I really want someone to see them!

So, if you're interested in seeing a demonstration of this new product keep watching my calendar and come back here often for updates. I'll be posting an invitation for a demo soon. Until then, Happy Stamping!

Susan
