Where Have I Been?

Well, unfortunately I haven't been any where except in my basement getting my stamping area reorganized so I could be ready for the busy holiday season! And I finally had time to start stamping last night! So, here are some things I've been working on.
Finally, after much encouragement over the years from many of my friends, I have decided to try my hand (literally) at designing and selling custom greeting cards, invitations, party favors, etc....so here are a few items I'm currently offering. This darling candy tin has chocolate nuggets (12) custom wrapped for any occasion and presented in a clear top tin tied with grosgrain ribbon and topped with Sheer Blossoms connected with a velvet brad. The blossoms are by Maya Road, and the brad is by Making Memories. The stamp images are by Papertrey Ink. This would be a great party favor for a baby/bridal shower, teacher gift, or a special treat for your favorite chocolate lover. Each large tin retails at $7.50. Custom colors are available for your special occasion, as are image variations.
This is one of my new card sets, and if you are coming to my show this month (at Ms. Nielsen's) you'll see some tricks demonstrated on different variations of this card. I'm also offering it as a boxed set of 3 cards with matching envelopes. Images are "Doodle This" by Stampin UP! The center of the flower features the new Ice and Fire sparkle brads as well. The set of 3 retails for $9.50.

And, of course for Halloween, I have some collections of Holiday cards that are sold in sets of 5 with envelopes. This jack o lantern has been texturized with Crystal Effects to make him plump as well as shiny, and the stars are all embossed with clear embossing powder-which is hard to see in the photo. A "Happy Halloween" is the message inside. This Jack O Lantern card set sells for $9.50.

All of these boxes of candy or boxed card sets make great gifts. Prices vary depending on amount of difficulty and enhancements added. So, if you're looking for a special card that is unique, please keep me in mind! I'm just starting off slowly, but we'll see how it goes. I've been working on some other containers and card sets that I'll be revealing soon, so please check back regularly for updates!

On a personal note, we've been very busy getting back into the full swing of school and activities. Dave had his 40th birthday which we celebrated in typical Dave fashion-very quiet and dignified with very little fuss, except for the exceptional meal that I made (if I do say so myself!) I was worried that it was not going to turn out and we'd be ordering pizza but in the end it was ok. Jason is doing well in school but still trying to adjust to the new level of responsibility expected of him. Lauren continues to get 100's on every paper I see, and is learning the advantages of being a 2nd child-learning the pitfalls of the older sib!

I'm going to be the chairperson for the Fall Fun Fest at our church on Oct. 26. It's a party geared for all ages, with lots of activities for young kids, a chili cook off, etc. So if you're in the area and you'd like to come by, send me a reply to this post and I'll give you the details!

By the way, you can reply as anonymous and just sign your message instead of logging in or registering. I think this has confused many people when they've tried to respond.
