More inside pictures

Here are the insides of the other two stationary boxes that I made. I have more in the works now for a class soon, so keep checking back in for date announcements!

I was really trying to break out of my color comfort zone on this first one. It turned out very bohemian which I liked, and there is a little green, but I tried to mix colors that I'm not always reaching for. I like the results, so that just proves you need to experiment now and then.

This color combination is more my classic style - but I tried to lean more blue than green, so at least I pushed it a little!

These were really fun to do! Very time consuming, which is why they make great gifts that are really apreciated, but overall a worthy endeavor for a special someone!

Ghouls just wanta have fun so here's Lauren and I all ghouled up at our annual Fall Fun Fest and Spooky School at our church. We have the best time - it's a good old fashion fall fest with cakewalks, chili cook off, pumpkin carving contest etc....we even tye dyed pumpkin t-shirts for the kids to complete with faces. Some of my creative friends put on a Spooky School down in the sunday school rooms complete with P. E. (Pirate Education). Dave was the school janitor who had skeletons in his closet. It's a haunted house that is geared for younger kids but still scary enough.

Here we are playing the "Wrap your Mummy" game. Lauren had me wrapped up good by the time she was done.

And finally, some pictures of the special cupcakes that I made to share with the kids. If there is one thing we are never short of at our church it is good food, and several of us get creative in our offerings. The kids loved them - especially the owls! Maybe the bugs looked too realistic, but there were some left over for us to take home, so I didn't hear anyone complaining!

Attendance Prizes

You aren't going to believe that I gave these away as attendance prizes at my Mother's Club meeting this month! I hardly believe it myself, but I did! Now I just need to make some for myself and as Christmas presents.

These beautiful stationary boxes open up to reveal a collection of matching cards, notecards, and tags all in this lovely box with a notebook to let you make your gift giving lists, or make notes to yourself...and a small pocket that you could insert stamps into. Tomorrow I'll post the insides of the other boxes.

If you are interested in attending a class and making a box as a gift, please send post a reply and I'll email the information to you. I'm still working out the details, but will post the date soon to have them ready for the holidays.

Wouldn't your friends just love these? What a thoughtful gift - and they are great themed for the holidays - I like to make them thank you cards - and for birthdays etc....

As I sit here updating, the wind has really turned blustery outside and the house is creaking and drafty. Think I'll end the day with my favorite hot toddy, a little "Sex in the City" movie, and enjoy the full swing of fall! Don't you love driving through a bunch of dancing leaves in the street?

Well, now I'm getting fanciful, so it must be late!

Happy Stamping!

Halloween Class

Here are the projects we completed at my recent Halloweenn Class last week! One of the many reasons I've been SO busy!
The first thing I want to do is give credit to Amy for the darling Halloween card with the circles as a background - I totally cased it! She has recently joined my team and this is one of the projects she has on her fall classes. You can visit her blog here to see more of her creativity.

I designed the 6X6 brag book page to coordinate with it and tie all the colors together. If you missed out on this class, keep checking back - I have several classes in the works for the holiday season including a gift card class to make a variety of gift card holders for your holiday gift giving!

American Girl Doll Road Trip

Several months ago, my sister called and told me that she was coming to Chicago on a business trip, and that IF I would come and babysit Tyler she would bring him with her. Well, as IF that were a question! I've only seen my nephew once, and he's going to be 9 months old soon! So I decided that I would take Lauren up to the American Girl Store as a special mother -daughter adventure, and she could help me with the baby, and then the boys would join us for a family reunion to see my grandmother, who is 95, lives near Chi-town and hasn't seen Tyler yet.

Then the banks went broke, the stock market fell and my sister, who is in the financial industry as a branch manager had to stay and calm the fears of her clients. So, poor Lauren! She was very upset at our change of plans. She had been saving her money and doing extra jobs to earn more.

So, I decided that we would go anyway. My mom joined us and it became a 3 generation road trip. We had such a good time! Lauren has the 2008 doll, named Mia pictured with her at lunch. And since she was traveling with her Mama, and her Mama's Mamma, we played the sound track to Mamma Mia! all the way there and back, dancing and being very girly! Great memories that I can't wait to scrapbook! Or better yet, I'll let Lauren do it since she is starting to like that as much as me!

The store in Chicago had only been reopened in their new location for 2 weeks, and it was something to see! Two levels of shopping, doll hair salons, doll hospital, tea room, bakery...it never ended. We were there for 3 hours! I got some Christmas shopping done and Lauren bought 3 outfits for Mia. It was great fun- and very girly, which we never get to do enough with a big brother!

Time Flies!

Well, I should never make promises to update my blog with anything someone is waiting for, because that is a sure way to create chaos in my life! The minute I do, all of my best of intentions gets blown away by the reality of life! So, if you've been waiting for me to post a template for my pudding cup holders, which many people asked for, here it is - it's simple so maybe you'll still have time to do them for Halloween, if not adapt it for Christmas party treats. I'm really sorry for the delay!

Cut your card stock to 7 X 3 inches and fold in half- scored at 3.5. On one side of score line, cut a circle with a 2 3/8 inch diameter. This is where you will insert the pudding cup. Decorate the top of the card as desired, and put a message on the inside. I put a ribbon on the top flap as well. You can seal the treat holders with ribbon in a fake bow, or for those you may give as a gift for someone else to use, you can put 2 Stampin Dimensionals on the outer corners of the holder, and this allows them to close it after they've signed it.

I have a lot of posts that I hope to catch up with tonight to show you all the crazy things I've been up to, so please check back to see them- there are some beautiful projects to be listed soon!

Smiles,

Susan
