I never thought I would see the day when Stampin UP! would offer an alternative to their wonderful wood block mounting - but never say never because that day is here! With the release of the new Occassions Mini Catalog (see sidebar), you now have the option of selecting clear acrylic blocks for your stamps. Stampin UP! is wonderfully responsive to customer needs and has recognized the growing need for providing this product. Clear blocks are especially preferred by new stampers who are much more comfortable being able to see where they are placing the image. So I think this will help me introduce new customers to this wonderful craft. For those of us who are more experienced, if you like the clear option, they sure make more efficient use of your storage space! And for all stampers, they provide a less expensive way of increasing your stamp collection!
But do not despair, you rubber stamp purists! For while meeting a marketing need, Stampin UP! has also found a way to maintain their position that rubber is the best medium for holding ink and giving a crisp stamped image. The stamps are still made out of our quality rubber product - you simply have the option of ordering them with the wood blocks for permanent mounting, or as stamps only for the repositionable use on clear blocks. In the catalog you will notice that there are two prices now for each stamp set which reflects these options.
I will be providing you an opportunity to try out these stamps for yourself at my Valentine Class on Jan. 30 from 1-3pm.
