We've had a busy couple of weeks since the holidays. I had to host our Bunco club right after New Years, so I didn't put away decorations until mid January. I am cutting down on self imposed stress as much as possible and didn't want to deal with the mess of trying to get it all done in such a short time.

Last week was Jason's 13th birthday! He is officially a teenager now, but has been perfecting that art for quite some time. He decided to have a slumber party. Last time we're going to do that. It is amazing how much boys change in one year. While still very nice boys, his friends have become a little less respectful, looking at me as if I've grown two heads when I tell them they can't have buttered popcorn in the family room. And it was really funny to take them out to the pizza buffet and look in the rear view mirror to see them all illuminated by the blue glow of cell phones/ MP3 players/ digital game players....whatever. But my favorite part was going into Jason's room while they were downstairs, and being overwhelmed by the smell of stinky boy! UGH.....they had come directly from school and apparently all had gym that day.

But we survived, and here are the pictures to prove it!

These popcorn boxes are actually filled with miniature cupcakes that are decorated to look like popcorn. The boys loved them, and they weren't baby-ish which is oh-so important!

At the end of the evening the boys were playing Apples to Apples and I had visions of them in the future having a guys poker night, so I took a picture. At times they were so funny!

Jason got a rip stick which is a fancy skateboard with a hinge in the middle. Very difficult to ride but he has mastered it. And from us he received a basketball hoop, but since we've had 2 ft. of snow since his party, we have yet to set it up.

Now for something fun! I love this show - Whose Line is it Anyway? and this is a great segment from it - get ready to laugh!

I have actually been stamping lots of valentines. I had a show Friday night and it was very well attended. I'll be posting those pictures soon!

Smiles!
